White salt glaze cup and saucer with relief molded shell decoration made in Staffordshire in the mid 18th century. The cup handle has a neat pinched terminal, the small scale of the cup relates to the expensiveness of tea in this period.

Dimensions: 2.75 inch high

Medium: saltglaze stoneware pottery ceramic

Current Condition Saucer has feint stable hairlines.
