Antique English pottery prattware plaque late 18th century

A fine relief moulded rococco shaped plaque with a Romanesque classical image of a centurion standing with a well dressed woman. The plaque is exquisitely decorated in underglaze Pratt colours with sharp definition. A similar shaped piece is illustrated in John and Griselda Lewis's reference work Prattware on page 193.
